HS SAM

The ARINC 818 high-speed stand-alone module (HS SAM) from Great River Technology is an invaluable tool for ARINC 818 testing. The HS SAM can be used as a portable signal converter, splitter, test pattern generator, or continuity tester. It comes standard with an A/C adaptor and is also compatible with A/C 24VDC.
This module is appropriate for flight test or production programs, and can be certified according to DO 160, or DO 254.
GRT can configure an HS SAM with link rates up to 4.25 Gbps. Each unit can fulfill one of these two key functions :
– ARINC 818 to DVI converter
– DVI to ARINC 818 converter with line-spy capability
Both configurations generate test patterns.

The ARINC 818 video interface and protocol standard serves high-bandwidth, low-latency, uncompressed digital video transmission.

The standard has been advanced by ARINC and the aerospace community to meet the stringent needs of high-performance digital video. The protocol was adopted, prior to its official release, by major aerospace and military programs, and has become the de facto standard for high-performance military video systems.
